Zotac Shows Off New VGA Waterblock and PCIe Solid State Drive

This year at CES Zotac was showing off two new products that they are currently working on. The first is one that you really wouldn’t expect from Zotac, a VGA water block. The water block is currently in the development stage, but looks very promising.

Zotac has it installed on a reference GeForce GTX 980 Ti, but it will also work on a Titan X. The water block has an acrylic top with blue LEDs installed. There is a Zotac logo in the center. While still in the development stage Zotac says they want to make improvements like giving users the ability to turn the lights on or off and even to have RGB LEDs inside that you could pick the color that you want.

The second product Zotac was showing off was their new PCI-Express solid state drive. This drive is based on a new Phison controller and uses Toshiba MLC NAND flash. It will have sequential read and write speeds of 2500 MB/s and 1200 MB/s respectively. It is PCIe gen 3.0 x4, and is bootable which is nice.

The only drive Zotac had on hand was the one that that was in the system. It was up and running though. The drive will have a nice aluminum housing and even a backplate.
