Zalman CNPS9900 MAX CPU Cooler Review

Overview
This small and circular CPU cooler includes an entirely copper composition with “Black-Pearl” Nickel Plating to give it that extra shine. The CNPS9900 MAX has an ultra-quiet 135mm blue LED open fan, which helps pull and push air over the two circular heatsinks. The nickel plated copper heatpipes are visible inside the heatsink at a side view, where you can see they run all the way around the heatsink.

The ultra-quiet 13mm blue LED fan sits in between both heatsinks and includes a PWM function. The same cooler can also be purchased with a red LED in replacement of the blue one, which we received to review. Both circular heatsinks have different sizes, one which can only house a single heatpipe, while the other can handle two heatpipes; making a total of three heatpipes.

The heatpipes on either side actually look like more, since they both enter and exit on the same side. Don’t get your hopes up high because there are only three heatpipes on this CPU cooler. The heatpipes extend into the base of the cooler, with the outer heatpipe on the outside and the inner heatpipe on the inside.

The also nickel plated copper base is highly reflective and includes four screws to hold the mounting brackets into position. As you can see from the pictures, the base is relatively thing, giving the cooler a lighter design than some other CPU coolers with bulky bases.
