HP-1216B Overview
The Xtreme Gear HP-1216B CPU Cooler supports all current processors. The heatsink, supporting up to two 120mm fans, has a unique design.  Taking a first glimpse at it, you’ll see it’s not like any other cooler.

This U-shaped heatsink has a total of five 8mm copper heatpipes going in an arrow pattern. The heatsink stack is also unique as there are two different shapes of the heatfins. The fins are identical except for the center of the sides. On one fin the center is curved inward while the other is curved outward. These alternate back and forth in the stack. On all of the fins there are an additional four smaller inner curves, two on either side, as well as four notches, two also on either side, to secure the fan(s).

The heatpipes on the HP-1216B are in a U-shape, but are also spread apart to distribute the cooling on the heatfins.

Another smaller heatsink is stacked on top of the base in between the heatpipes.  This additional heatsink seems to becoming more and more popular on CPU coolers.

The base of the cooler uses the H.D.T. (Heatpipe Direct Touch) technology, revealing the five copper heatpipes. Also connected to the base is a pre-fastened support bracket for use during installation.
