Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 9 operating system (codenamed Threshold) is said to be made available in public preview form this fall. Windows 9 will replace Microsoft’s current Windows 8 operating system.
As we mentioned in our article earlier today Microsoft will be really focusing on desktop users with this release as they will be offering a customizable Start Menu.
If the public preview arrives this fall Windows 9 could still be a year away from an official launch. The first preview of Windows 8 was launched in September of 2011 and the consumer version did not ship until October 2012.
