WD My Passport SSD Overview
The My Passport SSD is a very small device. It has official dimensions of 90 mm x 45 mm x 10 mm (HxWxD) and really does not weigh all that much at all. I was actually surprised at how light the drive is, it is definitely lighter than my Samsung SSD T5. As far as the design of the drive goes it carries the same design as the new My Passport and My Book drives have, currently the black / silver design is the only one available. Typically My Passport drives are available in a wide range of colors.
The top part of the drive is black and the bottom is silver and has that unique design on it. The bottom part of the drive does attract fingerprints as you can see.
There is a single connection on the drive, which is the USB 3.1 Type-C connection. This connection will not only power the drive, but provide data transfer as well.
Looking at the drive from the side we can see just how thin it really is at only 10mm. It can easily fit in your pocket and won’t really take up much of any space inside your laptop bag or backpack.
