Vantec NexStar 3.1 Overview
Since this is a 2.5-inch enclosure it is not very large at all. The official dimensions are 120 x 77 x 15.5 mm. The man casing on the enclosure is made of aluminum. There are Vantec and NexStar 3.1 logos on the top of the enclosure.
On the front of the drive there is a power LED and USB 3.1 connection. This is the mobile connection that provides power as well as data transfer. This means the drive will turn on as soon as you plug it in and there is no need for an external power source.
On the opposite end of the drive there are ventilation holes, which will help air circulate through the enclosure.
The enclosure easily opens up. Inside you will find a simply SATA 6GB/s to USB 3.1 adapter.
