Software & Illumination
Once you have the keyboard installed you are going to want to download the Poseidon Z RGB gaming software which is available from the Tt eSPORTS website. When you first open it, it gives you a full overview of the keyboard and allows you to switch between the 5 profiles.
In order to remap the keyboard you are going to need to put it into gaming mode. For some reason you cannot make these changes to gaming mode while the keyboard is in normal mode. So hit the gaming mode button on the keyboard (top right) to go into gaming mode. You will notice the keys on the screen will turn blue, now you can completely remap the keyboard. When you select a key you have the option to assign a macro, a single key, or launch a program.
You can easily record and save macro’s within the software.
You can set different light options for each profile you have. There are 5 different light modes you can setup and control The first is fully-lighted which allows you to select a color for the backlighting. You can actually set different zones here too, so if you only want certain keys illuminated or keys illuminated in different colors you can set them here.
Tt eSPORTS has pre-programmed some really cool modes like Reactive, Arrow Flow, Wave, and Ripple into the software. You can configure these as well.
I do have to mention that the software is very sluggish at times and does not always save your settings. I really would have liked to have seen better software implementation from Tt eSPORTS.
When it comes to the lighting on the keyboard it is quite beautiful. There is a special mirrored back plate located beneath each switch which brings out the best color possible on each key. Check out the video below showing off the different lighting options of the keyboard.
Here are some photos of the illumination as well!
