Thrustmaster T.16000M Joystick Review

Overview

The Thrustmaster T.16000M comes packaged with Tom Clancy’s HAWX PC Game. The joystick operates using the High Resolution 3D Magnetic Sensor H.E.A.R.T (HallEffect AccuRate Technology) which gives it a 256 million dots resolution on a 16000 X by 16000 Y axes. This is far more accurate than other pro joysticks which only offer a 1 million dots resolution (1000 dots on X and 1000 dots on Y). This joystick comes by default for right handed people, but can be quickly adjusted for the left-handed. To make it even easier, Thrustmaster has made this joystick a Plug & Play device making it quick and easy to use its 16 action buttons.

The large base of the joystick houses a total of 12 buttons, 6 buttons on either side. A throttle slider also rests centered on the base.

The other four buttons are found on the head of the joystick. One button is placed on right, left, and bottom edges of the joystick head, all of which are contoured to fit your finger. The small round button found on the center of the joystick head is the multidirectional “Point of View” hat switch. The digital trigger, on the front of the joystick, is great for your typical trigger finger.

A set of eight rubber pads help hold the weight of the joystick from sliding around when in use. A left/right handed switch is also found on the bottom of the base for switching between left and right handed modes.
