It is that time of year again, the Holidays! This time of year everyone is looking to get new hardware and gadgets, whether its from relatives or if you just want to splurge for yourself. Even though here at ThinkComputers we get to look at a lot of really cool hardware, there are some things we still can’t get our hands on. With that he have compiled our Holiday 2016 wish list of things we would love to get this holiday season! Take a look!

I review quite a lot of hardware here at ThinkComputers, but it would be nice to have a few other things. Here are five things I would love to find under the Christmas tree this year!

Autonomous SmartDesk 2 Standing Desk (Prices start at $249)

I actually have a standing desk, but it is just that, a standing desk only. So I really do not have the ability to sit down. With the Autonomous SmartDesk 2 I have the ability to have a standing desk when I start the day, and then adjust it to a sit-down desk as my legs start to get tired. The Smart Desk 2 seems to be pretty affordable, starting at $249. I would go with the Bamboo surface so that bumps up the price to $349.

LG 38UC99-W 21:9 UltraWide WQHD+ IPS Curved LED Monitor ($1499)
lg-wide
I’ve recently spent some time using a curved display and I have to say I am a big fan. I’ve seen LG’s curved ultra-wide series monitors before and they are just sexy! Their new 38UC99-W 21:9 UltraWide WQHD+ IPS Curved LED Monitor would be the perfect replacement for my dual 24-inch 1080p monitors I’m still using. Having a resolution of 3840 x 1600 and using LG’s Screen Split 2.0 I can setup multiple screen on the single screen. The ultra-wide screen would also be perfect for editing video. The screen features Freesync technology and has 1ms Motion Blur Reduction so gaming on it would be pretty sweet as well!

Sony a6500 Camera ($1398 – body only)

I am still rocking my Sony NEX-5R, and it is definitely time for an upgrade. The latest and greatest from Sony when it comes to their mirrorless compact cameras is the a6500. This camera was just recently release and improves on the very popular a6300 which came out last year. Sony has finally added in-body 5-axis stabilization so shooting hand-held video should be pretty easy. There is now a touch-screen on the a6500, this is great as you can just press where you want the camera to focus and it will, one of my favorite features of the my current camera. Hopefully you’ll see me with this camera in 2017!

PrimoChill Praxis Wet Bench ($194.90)
PrimoChill Praxis Wet Bench
I actually have a few test benches here, but since it was released I’ve been a huge fan of PrimoChill’s Praxis wet bench. This was was built with watercooling in mind and it puts the motherboard at an angle, which makes it easy to switch out components, which is the main reason for having a test bench. The bench easily allows you to install radiators up to 360 mm and has support for up to four hard drives. To me it seems like the ultimate test bench!

2x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Graphics Cards ($664 each)
msi-gtx1080
I am in the need of a graphics card upgrade for my main PC. Of course the best single-GPU graphics card out right now is NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1080! I think two would be the perfect thing for me! I would go for MSI’s GeForce GTX 1080 Gaming X graphics card. I was a huge fan of their GTX 1060 Gaming X graphics card. Their Twin Frozr cooling design is one of the best in the business and just the design of the cooler and overall card itself looks great. The card has a nice factory overclock and of course you can control that with MSI’s Gaming app. These two cards should making gaming much more enjoyable and the added horsepower would be great for encoding video.
