ThinkComputers Holiday 2015 Staff Wish List

As the holiday season quickly approaches for 2015 we were all asked by our Editor to give five things that we would wish for. For me personally most of the things that I wish for could never come true. To stop the war in the Middle East, meet friends that live so far away and to have more money in the bank to travel back to my little paradise in Sicily for at least 24 long months of summer. For those I wish for the most, but for the tech side of me the wishes that have are probably a little easier to attain than the a fore mentioned but not by much.

So here is my wish list for 2015.

In Win H-Tower
InWin H Tower Computer Case
InWin H Tower Opened up

This year In-Win introduced the newest case in their line of Ultra-High end computer cases. The H-Tower from In-Win is one of the products that I wish for. It is a one of a kind case that has no equal. The H-Tower is like a Transformer toy for older guys with its own Phone App to control the lighting effects that are standard with it. The case has a completely mechanized system that allows the body of the case to break away from the internals and reveal the interior and is truly breathtaking to watch and the price tag is just as breathtaking, but since I like to wish big the IN-WIN H-Tower is at the top of my list of things that I would like to have for Christmas since that is the Holiday that I observe.

Samsung 950 PRO PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD (Amazon)
Samsung 950 SSD

Second on my list is a little easier to have for me. At $349.99 US dollars the newest SAMSUNG 950 PRO M.2 512GB PCI-Express 3.0 x4 Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V5P512BW. This is the newest SSD from Samsung that will fit into my existing X99 motherboard M.2 slot perfectly and gives Max Sequential Read speeds of up to 2500 Mbps and a blazing 1500 Mbps write speed. It doesn’t require much power; just a 5.7 watts at heavy work load consumption and it uses the latest VNAND Technology for longer lifespan of 1,500,000 hours of use before failure this little piece of circuitry is perfect for the enthusiast looking for a speedy and dependable boot drive with a good amount of data storage. Perfect for a geek like me.

EVGA GeForce GTX TITAN Z (Amazon)
Titan Z Video Card

Third on my list would have to be one of the fastest NVidia video cards on the planet. The EVGA GeForce GTX TITAN Z 12G-P4-3992-KR 12GB SC GAMING. The SC model from EVGA boosts the internal clock speed from 705 MHz to 732 MHz out of the box, making it already overclocked and stable as any beast of a card this off the chain should be. It boasts 12GB of DDR5 memory and 5760 Cuda Cores needless to say you can play every game on the highest levels without even making this card sweat, but of course the $1641.99 US dollar price tag might get the average gamer a little sweaty at the cash register.

Dell UP2715K Ultra HD 5K UP2715K 27-Inch Monitor (Amazon)
Dell 27 inch IPS 5K monitor

Forth on my List would have to be a compliment to the GTX TITAN Z from above. This Dell UP2715K Black 27″ 8ms Widescreen LED Back-light LCD Monitor IPS has an extreme resolution of 5k or 5120 x 2880 Pixel resolution, but you can tone down the ratio to 3840 x 2160 for true 4K display. Dell has always been know for the best in monitors and this one is at a price point of $2399.99 MSRP the sale price is 21% off or $1899.99 on sale. I really don’t see one of these in my future unless someone sends me one free but that is a wish and this is only a wish list.

Corsair DOMINATOR Platinum 128GB DDR4-2666 Memory Kit (Amazon)
Corsair Dominator 128GB kit

At fifth place on my geeky wish list I would have to take the advice of a programmer friend of mine and get more ram. So for my final wish for my list from 2015 it would have to be CORSAIR DOMINATOR Platinum 128GB (8 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2666 (PC4 21300) Desktop Memory Model CMD128GX4M8A2666C15. This amount of memory will totally max out my quad channel X99 system and give me no memory bottlenecks at all. Probably the only bottleneck for my system would be the price of $1299.99 US Dollars for the 8 sticks of 16GB modules and the added heat fans that come with the set. As for Ram Corsair has been a leader in quality that no one else has been able to match.

Here is wishing you all a very Blessed holiday season and may all of your true wishes be granted. Unless of course they are not good for you.
