First let me say that I love tech a lot and I already own a lot of tech items. I am a very blessed man with a blessed life. I have a great wife and great children, with a decent little cottage and good neighbors and lots of food to eat. We have a great little Church and I have the best friends on Facebook and “live and in person” people friends too.
But my Editor, Bob Buskirk asked us all to write an article on the top 5 things that we wanted for Christmas so I decided to go for broke. No hold barred. Price is no object article so here it is, my Thinkcomputers.org Derek Smith Reviewer fantasy wish list for the Christmas year of 2015.
Intel Fultondale 3 DC P3600 AIC 2TB PCI-Express 3.0 MLC Solid State Drive (Newegg)
At 2 terabytes and running at an incredible read speed of 450,000 IOPs and reading a little slower 56,000 IOPs @ 4K this little Enterprise hard drive would be a fine addition to my X99 Intel board system. At this speed even the 32GB. Of DDR4 might be a bottleneck but who care if it cost more that my last two Systems combined. He wanted me to make a wish list and The Fultondale 2 P3600 is on my Christmas 2015 list.
EVGA GeForce GTX TITAN Z Hydro Copper (Amazon)
With 5760 CUDA CORES and Running at 672 Gb/s this Monster Video card can run 4 monitors at 5K Next Gen graphics or just one huge multi-monitor setup with 12 GBs of 768 bit DDR5 memory this card is basically 2 Titans in one with twice the RAM. It comes factory with an EK custom water block to cool down this Bugatti hot of a Video card. 2 GK110 Chipsets are Co Processor’d together to achieve the dragster like video performance and custom water cooling is a must.

This 14 core / 28 Thread DDR4 Driven Processor can make your future mark score so high they will have to make a new Benchmark to rate it. 3D Mark would be at a loss. Anyway this 145 Watt super chip has 35mb of L3 cache and can run a small country. Wow, imagine the bragging rights you could get out of this piece of silicone and its rust proof too.
CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 64GB (8 x 8GB) DDR4 2400 Memory Kit (Amazon)
Corsair Dominators are made with timing that beat the other RAM Companies hands down but this set is a whopping 64 GB and will fill all 8 slots with 8 GB per Slot DDR4 RAM. While I know its only 2400 it’s the most I can get now with a set so I am with this set. This set will not be on my list next year. I will have to move up to faster and cheaper DDR4 Ram.
Bose Acoustimass 10 Series IV Home Entertainment Speaker System (Amazon)
I know, BOSE is so 1980’s well I am old and I have walked into houses with a set of these speakers playing and I loved the sound and the bass. The way it was almost impossible to locate exactly where the sound was coming from and the little small foot print that these super set of speakers can put out. I love them and as a no holds barred wish well I guess that ends my top 5 Wish list from the grand boutique of big money items in the Tech Department. I also have Top 5 cars, a top 5 homes, and a top 5 countries to live or just visit for a year or two.
