Thermaltake Overseer RX-I Full Tower Case Review

Installation
So what are we going to be installing in this case?  Our system is comprised of the following components: Intel Core i5-2500K, Gigabyte Z68XP-UD4 Intel Z68 Motherboard, Sapphire Radeon HD 6950, 8GB Kingston KyperX Genesis Memory, Thermaltake ToughPower 1000W Power Supply, Thermaltake FRIO CPU Cooler, 750GB SATA Drive and a DVD-ROM.  The first thing you are going to want to do is install the motherboard.

Next is our hard drive.  Just pull out an open tray and use the included screws to secure either your 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch hard drive.  Once you have your drives installed in the trays just simply slide them back in.

To install your optical drives you will need to first remove the front bezel of the case.  To do this just pull on it from the bottom of the case and it should come off pretty easily.  From here you can remove the bezel covers for your optical drives.  Then you can put the front bezel of the case back on and slide in your optical drives.  They lock into place with the tool-less locking system.

Now onto the power supply.  It slides right into the bottom of the case and you can secure it with screws.  Routing the power cables was very easy, especially since you can put them on the backside of the case.

The last thing that you want to install is your video card.  It goes right in without any issues.  The Radeon HD 6950 is a longer card and as you can see there is still quite a lot of space there!

Before we close this case up and power it on let’s take a look on the opposite side of the case so you can see all of the cables that we have routed behind there.  You can also see that the CPU cutout is very large so we can remove out CPU cooler without having to remove the motherboard from the case.
