The Division has been a game we’ve been following since it was first announced and now that it is out we’ve been playing it quite a lot. It seems most gamers are pleased with the game, but how successful was the launch? It seems it was quite successful pulling in over 330 million in its first 5 days of release. This beats out Destiny’s $325 million 5-day record from September 2014. And also keep in mind Destiny launched on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, while the Division only launched on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Ubisoft co-founder and CEO Yves Guillemot said: “The Division taking the top spot in the industry for first week sales of a new franchise is a tremendous achievement. We are very proud of our teams, and humbled by and thankful for the millions of players who are giving us their feedback and support”.
