Android Turns 7 Today – Powers 85 of Every 100 Phones

The Birthday for Android, Google's mobile operating system is most popularly celebrated on November 5th, despite all of the controversies around the final date of this popular operating system. It is crazy to think that it has already been 7 years! The first mobile phone to use Android was T-Mobile's HTC G1 or HTC Dream.

What Ever Happened To Gateway?

Starting in 1985, Gateway 2000 was the original moniker of Gateway computers. Shipped in Holstein cow markings boxes to accent the rural roots of the Iowa based company, it was supposed to be the greatest computer company of the upcoming century. And Gateway was indeed that...a record breaking company with an instantly recognizable identity. Eventually, the 2000 was dropped from the name, and it became a commonly recognized computer company.

A Look Back: 3dfx Graphics Cards

I don’t know about you but when I first started to build my own computers all I wanted inside was a 3dfx graphics card. I’m not sure what it was, the awesome advertisements in PC magazines, the high price, or just the hype. Luckily I was able to build a few systems with 3dfx graphics cards before they went bankrupt and were eventually acquired by Nvidia. 3dfx definitely helped change PC gaming. 3dfx will probably always be remembered by computer and gaming enthusiasts so today we take a look back at the 3dfx graphics cards.
