In this episode of our weekly tech podcast we talk about our 3 reviews this week, some controversy at Computex, AMD vs Intel, E3 2018, and more!
- Computex 2018
Cooler Master had a really interesting keyboard on display at Computex 2018. It was their CK620 which is designed for gamers and typists alike. The keyboard is very small having only 67-keys and official dimensions of only 292.6 (W) × 103.0 (D) mm.
At Computex 2018 MSI was showing off a lot, but one thing that really caught our attention was their massive gaming display. The Optix MAG491C is a 49-inch VA panel with a 3840 × 1080 resolution, 32:9 aspect ratio, 1800R curve, and 144Hz refresh rate.
Computex is the show where case maker In Win always shows off an over-the-top PC case, which typically becomes the talk of the show. Well this year at Computex 2018 they are showing off the brand new Z-Tower, which is made of cast aluminum and is definitely a show piece for sure!
Earlier this week Intel stole the headlines at Computex 2018, by showing off a 28-core processor running at 5.0 GHz. This is a great achievement, clocked at 5.0 GHz it was able to achieve a Cinebench score of 7334. Well it turns out this CPU required an industrial chiller to run at that clock speed.
Razer, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers, today announced that its multi-award winning Razer Mechanical Switches will be coming to third-party keyboard makers later this year. Created from the ground up for gaming, Razer Mechanical Switches are renowned for their speed and accuracy.
GALAX was also another company showing off new DDR4 memory at Computex 2018. They unveiled their brand new Hall of Fame (HOF) Extreme Series limited edition DDR4 memory that has a stock speed of 5000 MHz!
