Sparkle GeForce GTS 450 Overview
The Sparkle GeForce GTS 450 looks like most other GTS 450’s we have seen. It is the same size at about 8.25-inches long. Sparkle has gone with a blue PCB. This is a relatively small card so you shouldn’t have any issues fitting it in most cases. Sparkle actually offers 2 different GTS 450’s, this one is the SXS4501024D5SNM.
Sitting in the middle of the card is of course the cooler. Sparkle does not use the stock cooler, but rather a simple dual-slot cooler with a large purple fan. The purple color is the same that we saw on Sparkle’s Calibre X480 GeForce GTX 480 Video Card and many of their other products. The cooler on this card only covers the GPU, not much else.
As far as connections go you have 2 DVI and one miniHDMI, which is what we are used to seeing on the GTS 450 cards. You can also see the exhaust vents on the back of the PCI slot cover. This card requires a single 6pin PCI-E power connection
Flipping the card over there really is not that much to see except for the mounting points for the GPU cooler and 4 128MB memory modules. There are 4 more on the opposite side of the card. These modules are the Samsung K4G10325FE-HC05 memory chips.
