SilverStone Redline RL06 Pro Case Review

SilverStone Redline RL06 Pro Case Overview
The Redline RL06 is a mid-tower case that is characterized by a front bezel that sort of protrudes out and has a red trim around it. As I mentioned we received the SST-RL06BR-PRO version of the case which is all black with red trim and red LED fans. There is also a white version of the case with black trim. The “Pro” versions of the case come with the three LED fans in the front. There are also tempered glass versions of the case and the normal versions of the case only come with a single fan. Refer to the product page to see which model is which. The case has official dimensions of 200mm (W) x 477mm (H) x 455mm (D) so it is right around your typical mid-tower size.

If we look at the front of the case we do not see any drive bays. This is something that is becoming standard on most cases, I do not know many people that use optical drives anymore or bay devices. The entire front section of the case is ventilated. You can easily pop the front bezel off the case by pulling on it from the bottom. Once removed you reveal a filter that covers the entire front of the case and the three included red LED 120 mm fans. This filter is also removable for easy cleaning. The front of the case can either fit those three cooling fans, two 140 mm fans, or water cooling radiators up to 240 mm.

At the top part of the case you are going to find all of your buttons and connections. On the far left you have a large power button, moving over there is a hard drive activity LED, two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, and HD audio connections.

On the top of the case you’ll find a magnetic removable filter. Once removed you’ll find a spot for either two 120 / 140 mm fans or watercooling radiators up to 240 mm. SilverStone does tell us that radiators / fans need to be under 30 mm if you plan on installing them up there.

On the side of the case you’ll find that acrylic window. It is large enough to show off most of your hardware inside. If acrylic is not your thing remember SilverStone does have a tempered glass version of this case.

Moving around to the back of the case things are pretty much standard here. You have a 120 mm exhaust fan (non-LED), seven expansion slots, some ventilation, and your power supply mount on the bottom. Each side panel does have thumbscrews so you should be able to easily get inside your case.

There is no pull-out filter on the bottom of the case, but instead a small film filter.
