Packaging
As the SilverStone PRECISION Series PS11-Q is fundamentally made to be an economy computer case, I do understand there does have to be some compromises made in the construction, build quality and packaging and there are some of these that I have laid out in this review, but as for the packaging; it is packaged as good as any case even twice the price of this one, so it goes without saying that you should get this case delivered to you without any nicks, bulges or bruising from the parcel delivery service in your area.
The boxed packaging is the usual double corrugated type and black inked showing both models of the SilverStone PRECISION Series PS11-Q and PS11-W with the main Features of both cases.
The side has the word INTRODUCT(U)ON spelled incorrectly so this is an indication to me that there was not much oversight of the packaging by the main company to the Chinese manufacturer of this case. This is a clue of a certain disconnect between the actual manufacturing stage and that of SilverStone’s Corporate office or at least the marketing or shipping department’s at the very least.
The Special Features of these cases are described in nine separate languages with a QR code next to each language to direct your phone to the website and the features of the case as you are researching or planning on buying a new case and want more information on it.
The back of this case shows a pictorial diagram of the SilverStone PRECISION Series PS11-Q and the main features explained of the case again in a more simple picture form.
The total box is very well packaged in the usual way with no real differences than any other typical case sold in today’s Re or E’tailers where ever or from whomever you are buying from.
The Styrofoam is a medium grade, but it’s great for the extremely lightweight case inside. So I do rate this foam perfect for the case inside.
The plastic is thin but still stiff enough to hold up during the shipping of this case to the buyer or for long term storage of the box.
Finally there is a anti-scratch covering over the mirrored finished front emblem that has prestigious SilverStone logo printed across it.
Overall, I give the packaging a Good Rating in our ThinkComputers (Best, Good and Bad) packaging rating.
