Scythe USA Shuts Down

It seems like we are seeing more and more of this lately. Scythe has been around for quite sometime and they had a name for themselves in the enthusiast market. Many people swore by their CPU coolers and it is really sad to see them shut down. It seems because financial difficulties Scythe USA had to close operations. On their website they have left a goodbye message. Scythe Japan will continue to maintain operations and will take care orders Scythe USA cannot fulfill by their closure date.

To Customers and Users,

Scythe USA Inc. has been a supplier of Scythe products for the past several years. In November 2012, Scythe USA had to make a difficult decision to end its operations as a result of the closure of its parent company. We greatly appreciate your business and support over the years.

Sincerely,

Masahiro Sakai
CEO

Scythe Co., Ltd. is a company that initially started in Japan where it initially used to sell electric products for computer parts and accessories & Cellphones with video camera and small displays- before they stepped into distribution and manufacturing of DIY PC parts and gaming devices in November, 2002- and were very well known for CPU coolers with names such as “Ninja”, “SHURIKEN”, “Samurai Master” and “Katana”. Sadly, reality is that it wasn’t able to keep up with the competition despite having a lot of praise for a lot of their coolers.
