Scythe has made an addition to its Mugen line of tower CPU Coolers with the Mugen Max (model: SCMGD-1000). This new cooler is bigger and makes use of 140 mm fans to keep things nice and cool.
The Mugen MAX has a classic tower design with a nickel-plated copper base. It features six 6 mm thick heatpipes of the same material. The fins of the heatsink use jagged edges and non-planar shapes to create turbulence and dissipate heat better.
The included 140 mm fan is a Scythe Falcon 140 mm PWM fan that has speeds ranging from 500 to 1300 RPM and will push 37.37 and 97.18 CFM of air. Noise output ranges between 13 and 30.70 dBA. The cooler measures 145 mm x 110 mm x 161 mm (WxDxH) and weighs in at 870 g.
The Mugen MAX will support all modern CPU socket types. It is expected to be available around mid-June 2014.
