Remember the goBAT 6000 does come pre-charged, so if you need to use it right away you do not have to charge it up once you take it out of the box. Since it is made for a wall outlet you can pretty much plug in the goBAT 6000 anywhere. When you are charging the goBAT 6000 the LEDs on the front will let you know how charged up the device is. One really cool thing about the goBAT 6000 is that it has pass-through charging. That means when plugged into power you are not only charging the battery itself, you are charging the devices that you have connected to the goBAT 6000.
Besides the pass-through charging the other great thing about the goBAT 6000 is that it has dual charging ports. One is a 2.1A port and the other is a 1A port. This means one is ideal for charging a tablet and the other one for a smartphone. The LEDs on goBAT 6000 turn on briefly when you are charging devices when you don’t have the charger actually plugged into power. This also lets you know how much battery is left on the charger.
Being 6000 mAh you should be able to charge most smartphones 3 times over which makes the goBAT 6000 ideal for when you are going to be out all day without the ability to charge your device. The goBAT 6000 is also small enough to easily fit in your pocket or backpack. The fact that the goBAT 6000 has a wall charger built-in means you don’t have to go looking for cables or a power brick to get it charged. As long as there is an outlet around you can charge it! Also it does have pass-through charging so you can be charging the battery and two devices all at the same time. This means you can be charging everything and when you are ready to go out for the day you can take everything and have your devices fully charged as well as the battery for later.
I really could not find a single thing I did not like about the goBAT 6000. You might complain that it does not come with a microUSB cable to charge your devices, but what if you only use Apple devices? While getting an extra microUSB cable is a plus with other chargers, but I think having a wall charger definitely outweighs that.
Right now you can pick up the Scosche goBAT 6000 at my favorite online retailer for $36.42. At that price you there is no reason to pick one up if you are in the market for a portable charger. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Scosche goBAT 6000 a 10 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!
