Sapphire Unveils Liquid-Cooled Radeon HD 7990 Atomic

Sapphire’s Atomic branding is only for the most high-end products and they Atomic product they showed at Computex was definitely no exception. The Sapphire Radeon HD 7990 Atomic is a liquid cooled variant of AMD’s latest graphics card release. The card is anything but stock, read on for all of the details.

The card makes used of custom designed 12-layer PCB which features a VRM with 12-phase vGPU, 4-phase VDDCI and a 2-phase MVDD which takes power from three 8pin PCI Express power connectors. The card is of course overclocked and features 6GB of total memory, 3GB for each GPU.

The card is cooled by a full-coverage water block and it does have an aluminum backplate that will cool the memory chips on the back of the card. The kit comes with a 240mm radiator, 5.25-inch bay pump / reservoir, and Atomic styled tubing. The bay res / pump has a flow indicator on it as well.

The demo system Sapphire was using also included Atomic blocks for the CPU and chipset as well. We are unsure if they will be included with the card or not, but in the past Sapphire has given CPU blocks out with their Atomic cards. No word yet on pricing or availbility but Sapphire says “coming very soon”.
