SAPPHIRE Announces Radeon R7 240 Low Profile Card

Sapphire has added a new R7 240 graphics card to its lineup. The Sapphire Radeon R7 240 Low Profile is targeted towards small form factor PCs and HTPC builds.

The card is based off the Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture from AMD. As far as outputs on the card you will have dual HDMI which support HDMI 1.4a with a max resolution of 4096 x 2160. Both display outputs can be used at the same time.

The card has a core speed of 730 MHz with boost up to 780 MHz and the 2 GB of DDR3 memory is clocked at 1.8 GHz (effective). This is a single slot card that is cooled by a fan-assisted heatsink. The cooling system is lower in height than the card profile, allowing the card to be fitted in any low profile or small form factor chassis.

No word yet on pricing or availability from Sapphire.
