SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD Overview
The SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD is a very small device as most of these portable SSDs are. It has official dimensions of 1.95 x 3.79 x 0.35 in. This size makes it definitely small enough to fit in your pocket so you know it can easily fit in a laptop bag or even sleeve.
The drive does have a semi-rugged design with an IP55 water and dust resistant rating. This means it can survive small splashes of water, but not immersion or anything like that. The drive is a dark blue, which seems to be the only color available currently and there is a SanDisk logo right at the center of the drive.
Flipping the drive over the back is pretty much plain. The sides and back of the drive are rubberized to help you get a good grip on it or for it to stay in place on your desk.
There is a single connection on the bottom of the drive which is a USB 3.1 Type-C connection. Don’t worry if you don’t have a Type-C connection on your PC, SanDisk includes a Type-A adapter.
