Samsung Galaxy Gear Smartwatch Photos Leak Prior to IFA

Venturebeat got its hands on the new upcoming prototype of Samsung under the tag of the ‘Samsung Galaxy Gear’ and was able to leak a few tits and bits even before it was unveiled at IFA, Berlin. What we can see is only the image snapped from a promo video of the gadget as pictures were not allowed to be taken by any media personnel. The 3 inches Samsung Galaxy Gear, which is expected to release alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, is OLED (organic light-emitting diode) type and the resolution of the squared screen could unfortunately not be known.

Though other colors are soon expected to follow, currently the prototype is only shown in dark grey and black with an intricate looking design. Speakers have been built into the strap that comes from under the screen and goes around the wrist for easy handling. This is for the voice commands which will be made possible through the S Voice App. Along with the task of taking pictures, the records of data related to the user’s health will also be taken from the camera built into the top side of the prototype. Intelligent software in the gadget also indicates whether a particular food contains fats or grains.

Where Wi-Fi ensures social connectivity on Facebook and Twitter, the Bluetooth allows calls to be made directly from the prototype strapped to the wrist. Though any details weren’t disclosed about the battery but it is expected to last for up to 10 hours to accommodate for all the features and applications related to fitness and health.
