Reeven Okeanos CPU Cooler Review

Installation
Getting the Okeanos installed should be simple enough. We will be doing our installation on our Z97 system so we will be on the Intel LGA 1150 socket. This installation should be the same for pretty much any LGA115x socket.

The first thing you are going to want to do is attach the four backplate bolts to the backplate with the silicone washers on as you see in the photo below. Please consult the instructions to see what holes you will need to use for your socket.

Carefully place the backplate on your motherboard with the backplate bolts passing through to the other side of the board. Place the four plastic spacers on each bolt as you see below.

Take the mounting bracket and line up the appropriate holes up with the backplate bolts. Then secure the mounting plate with the supplied nuts. Reeven does include a wrench so you can securely fasten the bolts. The orientation you see below will have our cooler sitting vertical with the fans exhausting out of the back of the case. If you want the cooler vertical simply install the bracket the other way.

Apply your thermal paste, and place the mounting bar in the center of the cooler. Carefully place the cooler on top of your CPU lining up the holes in the mounting bracket with the holes in the mounting bar.

Using the supplied screws secure the cooler. Reeven does not include a screwdriver for this, but most basic screwdrivers will work. These is actually quite a lot of room between the two heatsink towers that you could even fit a smaller screwdriver down in there.

The last thing you need to do is install your fans. Remember 120 mm on the front and 140 mm in the center. If you are using normal-sized memory modules you will not run into any clearance issues.

Also for those wondering we did our installation inside of a case so you should be able to as well.
