PowerColor Radeon R9 290X LCS Pictured

It looks like we have been seeing a lot of aftermarket Radeon R9 290X’s pop up recently. PowerColor is not being left out as shots of their Radeon R9 290X LCS have been pictured. This card will be one of the first R9 290’s that is ready for liquid cooling.

Interestingly enough PowerColor is not using their own design, instead they have teamed up with EK Water Blocks and are using one of their full coverage water blocks. It is basically EK’s EK-FC R9-290X full coverage water block with nickel-acetal top. The block appears to be factory fitted on to a reference R9 290X PCB.

No pricing details or clock speeds were mentioned by PowerColor. The block itself is $145, so we expect to see a pretty high premium over the $549.99 pricing of the R9 290X. PowerColor could launch this card along with another air-cooled overclocked R9 290X later this month or at CES in January.
