Plantronics Shows Off Two New Bluetooth Headsets

Plantronics was showing off two new Bluetooth headsets at CES Unveiled this year. One is more consumer focused and the other is more for the workplace. These headsets are the BackBeat SENSE and the Voyager Focus UC.

Let’s start with the Voyager Focus UC. Plantronics’ Voyager line has been helping professionals for years and the Voyager Focus UC takes this to the next level. We are living in a time where the walls in offices are coming down, with this we have a lot of outside noise in the workplace. Typical headsets are not going to cut it if you really need to concentrate. The Voyager Focus UC solves this by using both active and passive noise canceling. So if you are in an open office you are going to feel like you are in your own private office. Of course it has a boom microphone so you can take calls and it works with leading UC applications.

On the microphone boom is a easy mute button that allows you to keep the headset on and still talk to people around you. Don’t you hate it when you are listening to your favorite playlist and you take your headset off and forget to pause it. You come back and you miss your favorite song. Plantronics knows of this frustration and has installed smart sensors on the headset that knows when you take them off and it will automatically pause the music for you. The Voyager Focus UC is available now for $299.95.

The BackBest SENSE is more or less the consumer version of this headset. As you can see from the photo below it has a more stylish design, but it has many of the same features. The only real thing that it is missing is the active noise canceling and there is no microphone. You still have all of the smart features and awesome sound!
