Pictures of ASUS’s ROG Claymore Gaming Keyboard Leaked

Some of the first photos of ASUS’s upcoming flagship gaming keyboard, the Republic of Gamers (ROG) Claymore. This keyboard features RGB illumination, which I have to say based on these photos looks pretty great! No doubt this lighting will be controlled by ASUS’s Aura suite, and you may even be able to match it with the RGB lighting in your system.

The Claymore has a unique feature which is a detachable number pad. This gives you convenience of a number pad when at home, and then a shorter 80-key keyboard when you are at LANs and other events. The number pad also brings with it two more features, there is a large vertical multi-function scroll-wheel (volume by default), and an additional USB 3.0 port. It also looks like it might be attachable to other side of the keyboard, perfect for macros.

We do know this will be a mechanical gaming keyboard, but we are unsure who the switches will be made by. In the past ASUS has made use of Cherry MX switches.
