The guys over at VideoCardz received a photo from an unnamed source of an unknown ASUS X470 motherboard. Taking a look at the design we assume that it is part of the Strix series. While we actually don’t see any Strix branding on the board, we do see the same 8+2 phase VRM and rear I/O cover that was used on the ASUS ROG Strix X370-F motherboard.
There is “Republic” branding on the board though ASUS typically does not have “Republic of Gamers” branding on their Strix boards. There is also “Hybrid” on the board, not really sure what that is all about. Next to Hybrid are Chinese characters 玩家, these translate to “Players” so we assume this is going to be a gaming board.
There are already five confirmed ASUS X470 boards, which are the Prime X470-Pro, ROG Strix X470-F Gaming, ROG Strix X470-I Gaming, ROG Crosshair VII Hero, ROG Crosshair VII Hero (WI-FI), and TUF X470-Plus Gaming.
