The Patriot Supersonic Magnum 2 looks like your typical flash drive, although it is a little wider than most. Inside the drive you have a single-chip USB 3.1 flash memory controller with 8-Channel technology.

The drive has a durable aluminum enclosure enables shock resistance up to 15Gs. On one side of the drive it has the Supersonic Magnum 2 logo and lets us know the capacity, which is 256GB. Patriot also offers a 512GB version.

Flipping the drive over there is a Patriot logo along with Patriot’s web URL. You can also see on the end of the drive there is a place to connect a lanyard, although one is not included.

The USB connection on the drive is protected under a cap, which easily comes off. This drive uses a Type-A connector, which is the typical USB connector we are all used to. Most new Intel Z170 motherboards do have a USB 3.1 Type-A connector as well as a Type-C connector. This drive is backwards compatible with USB 3.0 / 2.0 as well.
