Our 10 Favorite Posts of 2011!

2011 was another great year of reviews and articles for us here at ThinkComputers. I have to say we have the coolest job ever being able to get a first hand look at the newest computer hardware and technology – and being able to write about it. We saw a lot of different products in 2011, some that impressed us and some that were just garbage. Read on to see what our favorite 10 post of 2011 were!

A Look Back: 3dfx Graphics Cards – Ok so this is a piece I had wanted to write for a while. It received some great feedback and brought back a lot of memories for people!
Antec Soundscience Rockus 3D 2.1 Speaker System Review – Speaker systems are speaker systems right? Wrong! Antec who is known for cases really impressed us with the Soundscience Rokus speaker system. Turn the 3D mode on and you are immersed in sound!
OCZ RevoDrive 3 240GB PCI-E Solid State Drive Review – The RevoDrive 3 was the fastest hard drive we tested in 2011! With speeds of around 1GB/s read and 900MB/s write it sure beat everything else out there!
Zotac ZBOX Nano AD10 Mini PC Review – We took a look at quite a few Mini PC’s this year but the Zotac Nano really impressed us with its size, style and what all they packed in there!
Gigabyte X58A-OC Intel X58 Motherboard Review – While it was a little late to the X58 game the X58A-OC from Gigabyte was an overclocking monster! We achieved our highest overclock on the X58 platform with it!
Lenovo IdeaPad U260 12.5-inch Laptop Review – The IdeaPad U260 really changed how I thought of Windows laptops. It is extremely thin and light and really feels like a notebook more than a real laptop. Definitely one of my favorite laptops of 2011!
Le Pan TC970 9.7-inch Android Tablet Review – The little known Le Pan made headlines with their TC970 tablet. I can’t wait to see what they have this year at CES!
V-MODA Vibrato Remote Earphones Review – Honestly before this review I could never understand why some headphones were so expensive, but after using these headphones I was not only impressed I knew they warranted the high price tag!
Corsair Graphite Series 600T Case Review – Out of all the cases in 2011 my favorite was the 600T from Corsair. It combined simplistic style with a load of features! I am currently using it as the case for my main system.
Gigabyte G1 Assassin Intel X58 Motherboard Review – After seeing the G1 Series motherboard at CES we were excited to get our hands on one. The G1 Assassin not only looked awesome with its military styling it was the perfect motherboard for gamers!

So those were our favorite posts of 2011. Thanks for making this year a great one for us here at ThinkComputers and we can’t wait for 2012!
