OCZ Trion 150 480GB Solid State Drive Review

OCZ Trion 150 Solid State Drive Overview
The Trion 150 is built on the 2.5-inch form factor that we know all too well. OCZ has updated the sticker that is on top of the drive, which we feel looks much better than the one that was on the Trion 100.

Flipping the drive over to the back there is a smaller sticker that has your capacity, serial numbers, and the firmware version. There are also four mounting holes on the bottom of the drive.

Taking a look at the side of the drive we can see we are dealing with a 7mm-thick drive, do they even make 9.5mm drives anymore? The rest of the metal casing that the drive is housed in is silver.

Finally on the end of the drive we have our typical SATA data and power connections.

We decided to not open the drive this time, but we do know that under the hood we have a Toshiba TC58 controller and 16 15 nm Toshiba TLC NAND chips. There is also a 256MB DDR3 memory cache chip from Nanya.
