Final Thoughts
OCZ is always one of my top picks when it comes to solid state drives and the Agility 2 proves that! It received some of the highest scores we have received for a SandForce-based solid state drive. The 285MB/s read and 273MB/s write we received in ATTO is pretty much spot on with the advertised 285MB/s read and 275MB/s write speeds. Also the Agility 2 scored the highest read and write scores for a SandForce-based drive in HDTune! This drive really performs!
Besides performance this drive, like many drives does come with a mounting bracket. I always point this out because many cases do not have mounting systems for 2.5-inch drives, even brand new cases! Also OCZ does include a really cool sticker that you can put on the outside of your case to let everyone know you are rocking a solid state drive in your system! Just like all other SandForce-based drives you get native TRIM garbage collection and SMART support.
As of right now the 60GB version of the Agility 2 sells for $169 at my favorite online retailer. This makes the cost per GB $2.81, which is the exact same price as the G.Skill Phoenix Pro we recently reviewed. Remember the Agility 2 is available in capacities ranging from 40GB to 480GB. Overall ThinkComputers gives the OCZ Agility 2 60GB Solid State Drive a 10 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!
