NZXT Panzerbox ATX Gaming Case Review

Installation

NZXT makes installation of all your hardware very simple. For starters there is a removable motherboard tray. To get it out of the case just remove 4 thumbscrews on the back of the case and slide it out.

Now it’s time for our hardware installation, I will be installing an older system in this case which is comprised of a ASRock K10N750SLI-WiFi motherboard, AMD Athlon 64+, ASUS EAX 1950Pro video card, Crucial Ballistix Tracer memory kit, Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W power supply, a 120GB hard drive, and an optical drive. You can go ahead and install your motherboard by securing it to the motherboard tray.

Before we put the motherboard back in we can go ahead and install our optical drive and hard drive. To install the optical drive you need to take off the other side panel of the case. Then go ahead and remove the bezel cover by removing 2 thumbscrews on each side. Then slide your optical drive in and secure it into place with those 4 thumbscrews that were holding on the bezel into place.

Now for the hard drive, I decided to install the hard drive in the removable cage. To take the cage out all you have to do is remove 1 screw and slide it out. Once it is out of the case you can install your hard drive my sliding it into the cage and securing it with thumbscrews. Then go ahead and put it back into the case.

After I installed the optical drive and hard drive I went to go put the motherboard back in the case, but I ran into a problem, our CPU cooler, the ZeroTherm Zen FZ120 did not fit all the way in when it was installed. So I had to remove the fan on it so I could slide the motherboard tray back into the case. Once I had the motherboard in the case I started connecting everything up.

Finally it was time for the power supply; we are using a Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W modular power supply that is a bit bigger than the normal ATX power supply. I had no trouble getting it in and there was plenty of room inside. After I connected power to everything it was a bit cluttered, but that is expected because there is not that much room in this case with everything installed.
