NZXT GRID+ V2 Fan Controller Review

Installation
Installing the Grid+ V2 is the same as it’s predecessors and really couldn’t be any easier. The first thing you want to do is to find a bit of open area large enough for the new hub and also central enough to be able to plug all your fans in. With this space located take one of the pieces of 3M Dual Lock velcro tape and attach it to the case. Next simply attach to opposite piece to the fan hub. While NZXT includes two pieces of tape, we found that one piece was sufficient. With the tape attached test fit the unit to make sure it fits well where you’ve located it.

Now we can begin to connect the V2 to the different components. First we attached the USB 2.0 plug to the header on our motherboard. Of course next you will attach the micro USB end to the V2. Next we attach the power cable to the fan hub and to an open Molex adapter from our PSU.

Now let’s get our fans attached. We are connecting three 140mm Akasa Apaches which are four pin as well as our 200mm Phanteks case fan and of course the two Silverstone 120mm fans from our AiO cooler. These two were left on the splitter they come with as their wires were too short to reach on their own.

The final bit of installation required is to head to NZXT.com and download the CAM 2.0 software. I found it easiest to simply use the page’s search function to find this.
