NVIDIA Working On GeForce GTX 1060 5GB For Internet Cafes

It looks like NVIDIA will be expanding their GeForce GTX 1060 line with a new 5GB model. This new GTX 1060 5GB will make use of the GP106-350-K3-A1 GPU and feature 1280 CUDA Cores. It has 5GB of GDDR5 memory running through a 160-bit memory interface. This will be the 4th GTX 1060 variant from NVIDIA, we already have the 6GB (9 Gbps), 6GB, and 3GB.

So why is NVIDIA adding this fourth variant? Well it seems NVIDIA wants to provide internet cafes with a cost-effective option to deliver a 60 FPS gaming experience at 1080p. According to the Expreview report, the GTX 1060 5GB variant will be exclusive to the Chinese market and won’t be available at retail. So if you are looking to get one of these card your only option will be websites like Taobao or Alibaba.
