NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3DMark 11 Score Unveiled

Somewhere around the middle of the next month, NVIDIA is going to introduce its newest flagship graphics card which is the GeForce GTX 780 Ti (Titanium). This is going to take on the AMD’s Radeon R9 290X which is currently dominating in the particular price range and now NVIDIA is planning to take over this price segment with its latest launch. The Radeon R9 290X at the same time also caters to the performance department along with the lower pricing strategy and since it was only released a few days back, NVIDIA is not so far behind.

The score of 3DMark 11 for the reference design of this GeForce GTX 780 Ti graphics card has already been revealed on the XtremeSystems forums through a forum member. Some screenshots have also been provided with this and they clearly show that the GeForce GTX 780 Ti is faster than the competing Radeon R9 290X. We are labeling its performance on the basis of the scores and comparisons with the synthetic benchmarks show that it is faster but we can’t conclude anything about the gaming results. For that we will surely have to wait till the official launch of the card next month. Moreover, the sample features an engineering board with 6 GB VRAM and the core count has also been increased in this one if we compare it with the GeForce GTX 780 which had 2304 Cores.

We still aren’t sure about the exact number of cores and even the sample board cannot be relied upon since these samples usually come with lower clock speeds. Moving on to the price point, the GeForce GTX 780 Ti is going to target the same segment as that of the GeForce GTX 780 which is currently priced at $649. This points towards an important piece of information that the GeForce GTX 780 would now be facing some price cutting scenario to competitively position against the Radeon R9 290. The next NVIDIA entry we all are looking forward to is the GeForce GTX 780 Ti which will be priced only at $549.
