NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 760 makes use of the latest GK104-225-A2 core which features 1152 CUDA cores, 96 texture mapping units and 32 raster operators. The card will be available in both 2 GB and 4 GB versions where the GDDR5 memory operates along a 256-bit interface. The reference clock speeds for the card is 980 MHz base and 1033 MHz boost while the memory has an effective speed of 6008 MHz or 6GHz.

The card actually uses the same PCB that was on the GTX 670 and GTX 660 Ti card. It uses a 4 + 2 phase VRM, although many AIB partners will be releasing non-reference cards. The card gets power from dual 6-pin connectors, which represents a TDP of 170W. Display outputs include Dual-Link DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort. Dual SLI connectors will allow for up to 3-way SLI.

For cooling the card uses the same cooler we have seen on the older GTX 670 and GTX 660 Ti. It features a plastic shroud and a large blower fan. NVIDIA could have at least updated the cooler on the card, but given its price I’m not sure if it was needed.

The GeForce GTX 760 will retail for $249-$299 while 4 GB, custom cooled and non-reference variants will cost extra.
