NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 OC Gaming Performance Unveiled

For those who were wondering how the upcoming GeForce GTX 760 would perform against other cards, well it looks like some early benchmarks have been revealed by PCEVA. The card that they used was not a reference card, but rather an overclocked version with clock speeds of 1072 MHz core, 1111 MHz boost and 1753 MHz for memory (7 GHz effective). Read on to see just how well it compared to other similar cards.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 OC Gaming Performance Unveiled

The new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 graphic card will include GK104-225-A2 Kepler core architecture that would actually feature 1152 cores, 96TMUs, and 32ROPs along with a 2GB GDDR5 memory interface moving along a 256-bit wide memory interface. For this reason, manufacturers have the freedom to release 4GB models at an extra price if they wish. The GPU runs at a clock speed of 980 MHz that boosts up to 1033 MHz which is certainly a faster speed than the previous GeForce GTX 670. On some of the variants the memory is clocked at 7GHz while reference Radeon still operates at 6GHz. The GPU pushes out a bandwidth of 192GB/sec at 6GHz and the over-clocked models of 224.4GB/s at 7GHz clock speed.

The cooling system is the same as it was used for the previous models of GTX 600 series. With use of a big aluminum fin heat sink array placed on top of the GPU block is kept cool by a blower fan. It includes display inputs like Dual-DVI, HDMI and display port.

Of course the card in question today is not a reference version. It has clock speeds of 1072 MHz core, 1111 MHz boost and 1753 MHz for memory (7 GHz effective). The card was compared against a GeForce GTX 660 Ti in which is had about 15% better performance in gaming and 12% better performance in synthetic benchmarks. Check out the break down below.
