Noctua NH-U9B SE2 Overview
The main part of the cooler is of course the heatsink. The NH-U9B SE2 makes use of a tower-type heatsink, but it is actually not all that large at all. The heatsink is only 125 mm tall and 95 mm wide.
The heatsink is made up of 36 aluminum cooling fins. Taking a look from the top we can actually see the design of these fins and that there is a Noctua logo on the top.
Looking at the heatsink from the side we can see that it is not all that thick either at only 71 mm.
There are six pretty thick copper heatpipes that are designed in a “U” shape. So they start at the base and go up into the heatsink stack.
The base of the heatsink is also made of copper, but as you can see from the color it is nickel-plated. The base is very smooth and should make good contact with your CPU. For those wondering the heatsink itself weighs in at 460 g.
