Noctua has announces two new coolers in their award winning NH-U series of CPU coolers. The NH-U12S and NH-U14S are tower coolers and are made to be quiet. They feature a slim layout which is made to provide maximum RAM compatibility. Like most Noctua coolers they use the SecuFirm2 multi-socket mounting system and come with Noctua’s HT-H1 thermal compound.
The NH-U12S comes equipped with Noctua’s own NF-F12 120 mm fan. It has a fin depth of only 45 mm so even with two fans installed it will not overhang the RAM slots. Expected MSRP for the NH-U12S will be $64.90.
The NH-U14S is the first 140mm model in the series, it uses the NF-A15 140mm fan. The fin depth of 52mm means it is made for socket 2011 as it will not overhang the RAM slots on this platform. The cooler also features a six heatpipe design. Expected MSRP for the NH-U14S will be $74.90.
Both of these coolers will be available shortly and have a 6-year warranty.
