New Half-Life 2: Episode 4 Screenshots Found

Half-Life 2: Episode 2 was released back in October of 2007 and since then many Half-Life 2 fans have wanted subsequent episodes to be released, but as you know that never happened. Episode 3 of course was canceled, but did you know that there was actually an Episode 4 in development as well?

Half-Life 2: Episode 4

Valve had actually started work on the title and it was confirmed by Valve’s Marc Laidlaw to be in development by Arkane Studios until it was canceled. Now we really do not know much about Episode 4 except that it was to be called, “Return to Ravenholm” and that it was to be a totally separate spin-off from the rest of the Half-Life 2 episodes. 11 new screenshots from the game have been unearthed from the personal portfolio of Robert Wilinski, a Senior Environment artist who served at Arkane Studios between the years 2007 and 2008, and was likely an important part of Episode 4’s development. These screenshots have been analyzed by the guys over at ValveTime, check out their video below.
