Native Union Night Cable Review

Native Union Night Cable Overview
Taking a first look at the Night Cable I really noticed the quality of the cable itself. It is a nice thick braided cable. Having a braided cable is much better than a rubber cable (which the Apple Lightning cable is made of) because it is less likely to rip or tear.

Both the USB end and the Lightning connector end are reinforced with the braided cable going up into the end connector. The end of the cable is where most cables fail, so being reinforced here is definitely a good thing.

The cable itself is quite long at 10 feet. This makes it a perfect cable for when you are laying in bed or are on the couch. Typical cables are only 3 feet long and with them you end up pulling the charger out or have to put your phone where it’s out of reach.

On the Lightning connector end is the weighted knot, this is something I’ve never seen on a charging cable before. It actually has some pretty good weight to it, which means it can serve as an anchor. That way you are not accidentally pulling your device or knocking it over. The weighted anchor can also be moved down the cable to your preferred spot.
