Multiple Radeon R9 285 Graphics Cards Pictured

We had told you the R9 285 based on AMD’s Tonga GPU would be launching soon and now we have pictures of the card from multiple AIB partners.

From what we know the Radeon R9 285 is more or less a Radeon R9 270X with R9 280 performance. The card is said to be equipped with the Tonga PRO GPU, so you can expect a Radeon R9 285X card to be released very soon as well. The R9 285 is going to be a small card so don’t expect crazy cooling solutions on the card, although we are sure some AIB partners will try it.

The Radeon R9 285 will have 2 GB of GDDR5 memory across a 256b interface. That is all we know right now for confirmed official specifications. Unconfirmed specifications say that the card’s clock speed will be 918 MHz with a memory clock of 1375 (5500 MHz effective). That combination will give you 176 GB/s of bandwidth.

All cards will have the same display outputs which include two DVI, DisplayPort and HDMI. The R9 285 will also utilize XDMA CrossFire, as there are no CrossFire fingers on these cards.
