MSI X299 SLI Plus Motherboard Review

Overclocking
There are a few different ways to overclock on this motherboard. First you can use the OC Genie in either the BIOS or the Command Center application. We decided to do our overclocking manually in the BIOS. We moved our frequency up to 43 and Vcore voltage to 1.22V to achieve an overclock of 4.3 GHz. Not bad at all with the limited time we’ve had with this board.

To test to see if this overclock was stable we ran AIDA64’s stability test. One thing that is great about this test is that it shows CPU throttling. So even if you have a high overclock if the temperatures are too high the CPU will throttle, which means your overclock is not all that stable. With our settings our overclock was 100% stable.
