MSI Announces A88X Chipset Based FM2+ Motherboard Lineup

For upcoming Kaveri APUs, the latest MSI A88X-G43 motherboard has been launched by the MSI team. Featuring all the military class IV components, the 6+2 Phase PWM also comes with OC Certified components to deliver the best in quality and performance. The FM2+ socket supports all Kaveri APUs and is fully usable with Richland/Trinity. The 8 pin connector powers the motherboard, which comes in a black blue design which has been spotted already on quite some motherboards by MSI.

The design offers heat sink blocks which offer cooling for the motherboard and beneath these blocks are housed the PWM and A88X PCH. Most manufacturers would now be competing on the memory sizes as they offer the biggest attraction to most users; the four DDR3 DIMM slots featured on the A88X chipset support memory of up to 64 GB with frequency ratings recorded up to 2400 MHz (O.C+).

MSI has impressively worked on the storage features of the motherboard which comes equipped with eight SATA 6 GB per/sec ports. For providing the best performance on the input output scenario, the MSI A88X-G43 motherboard has been designed with four USB 3.0, six USB 2.0, DVI, VGA, HDMI, SPDIF, PS/2, Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and a 6-Channel audio jack. There are two standard PCI slots and two PCI-e 3.0 x16 and three PCI-e 3.0 x1 termed as the expansion slots.

Expected to be available for users by the middle of next month, the MSI A88X chipset motherboards are made up of the following models:

MSI A88X-G43 (ATX)
MSI A88X-G41 PC Mate (ATX)
MSI A88XM-E45 (microATX)
MSI A88XM-E35 (microATX)

MSI A78M-E35 (microATX)
MSI A55-G41 PC Mate (ATX)
