Logitech G633 Artemis Spectrum Gaming Headset Review

Usage & Testing
So with any gaming headset the first thing we want to test is how the headset sounds in different games. During our testing period with the G633 we played games like Star Wars Battlefront, Payday 2, Grand Theft Auto V, and Cities: Skylines. These headphone definitely elevate your gaming experience and the highs are really pronounced. Using either Dolby Surround Sound or DTS HeadphoneX made playing games more intensive and really made me feel like I was there. I do think that I prefer the Dolby Surround Sound for gaming and the DTS Headphone X for listening to music. As far as watching movies go I would say it all depends on the type of movie. The mids are pretty good on this headset, but the lows are very hard to pick up.

The microphone works quite well. I tested it using TeamSpeak as well as making a few different Skype calls. I really like that it auto-mutes when you push it back up. It makes its easy to not disturb your team chat when you are in game and you need to talk to someone around you.

As far as comfort goes the earcups are extremely comfortable and completely cover your ears. The foam cushions on each side give a nice snug fit, but the breathable mesh makes it so it does not feel so encapsulating. While I did like the foam cushioning on the earcups, the headband left a little to be desired. After about an hour of gaming I had to adjust the headband so it would not hurt the top of my head. I’m not sure if the cushioning was to stiff or what.

Both the light strips as well as the G logos on each side of the earcups light up, which is a really cool effect.
