Logitech Craft Wireless Keyboard Review

Usage & Final Thoughts
I have been using the Craft for the past few weeks and the biggest thing that I want to talk about is the creative input dial or crown. It really does change how you interact with what you are working on. So when using Adobe Premiere I can tap the creative input dial and it gives me options of what the crown can do. For Premiere when you have the navigation tool selected you can use the dial to scroll through the time line (frame by frame) or “Jog Wheel” which scrolls through the timeline 5 frames at a time.

Now once you switch tools and tap the input dial again the options for what you do can change. For example in Photoshop if I have a brush selected I can adjust the size and thickness of the brush etc. It really is a cool way to interaction with your project or whatever you may be working on. Although the options are pre-set it is not like you can customize them. Also if you want to add an application you really don’t have full control like you do with the pre-installed profiles.

Besides the creative input dial the keyboard itself is very comfortable and I actually enjoy typing on it. One thing I was surprised with how solid this keyboard feels when typing. It is very thin, but does not have any flex at all. While not mechanical the keys do feel really good and the recessed keycaps do make it easier to move around the keyboard and be sure you are hitting the correct key. I did notice that keys would randomly squeak from time to time.

I think that if you are a content creator and will actually really make use of the creative input dial this keyboard is a great choice. The possibilities of what you can do with the creative input dial are endless and if used correctly will really enhance your work-flow and allows you to cruise through projects easier. That is of course if Logitech has a profile for the specific application you are using. For example there are pre-set profiles for Adobe Premiere and Photoshop, but not Lightroom.

Right now this keyboard is selling for $199.99, which makes it very expensive given other mechanical keyboard options out there. But for the right person who will make use of the creative input dial this could be the last keyboard you ever buy. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Logitech Craft Wireless Keyboard a 9 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award.
