LitOn has just kicked off their own consumer solid state drive line with the ZETA Series. This series of SSDs are built on a 7 mm-thick form factor, have a SATA 6GB/s interface and come in three capacities: 128 GB, 256GB and 512GB.
All three drives are based on the Silicon Motion SM2246EN controller and feature 16 nm MLC NAND flash made by SK Kynix. Each drive also has a LPDDR3 controller cache of 128 MB, 256 MB and 512 MB for the 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB versions respectively.
Each drive has a sequential read speed of 520 MB/s. When it comes to writes the 120 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB have speeds of 150 MB/s, 260 MB/s and 512 GB/s respectively. TRIM, NCQ and 256-bit native encryption are supported as well. No word or pricing or availability yet.
